Common questions
A six-month studio programme for young disabled creators, teaching immersive tech, filmmaking, sound, design, and creative coding — access-first from day one. Every cohort ends with a public film and digital exhibition made entirely by participants.
Anyone aged 16 or over, living with disability, based in or connected to Tower Hamlets, Southwark, or Hackney. Disability doesn't need to be diagnosed or documented to apply — if it affects how you work, we want to hear from you.
No. The programme is free to participants — £0, no hidden costs.
Five studio strands: Immersive Technology (VR, AR, spatial storytelling), Filmmaking (camera, sound, editing, direction), Sound & Music (production, scoring, adaptive instruments), Digital Design (typography, motion, inclusive UX), and Creative Coding (interactive art, generative visuals, adaptive hardware). Everyone moves through all five before specialising.
Six months, delivered across accessible venues in Tower Hamlets, Southwark, and Hackney. Exact locations depend on your cohort.
A public film screening and digital exhibition, staged in the borough and credited in full to every maker involved. Past work stays archived on this site for good — it's a real portfolio, not a certificate.
We build an individual access plan with you before the programme starts — equipment, pacing, communication support, whatever you need. Access isn't something you have to ask for separately; it's built into how every session is planned.
Yes. We'll involve a parent or carer in your application and consent process, as set out in our Safeguarding Policy.
That's fine — the programme is built to take you from a first attempt to a finished, festival-ready piece of work. No portfolio or prior experience required to apply.
The short film and digital exhibition are owned by Enable Studios CIC, with full public credit given to every participant who made them. The specifics are covered in a separate agreement you'll see before production starts, not buried in fine print.
Yes, at any time — it won't affect your place on the programme.
